Too bad prince ayn will betray little chu

    • Ellane Jumadi

What? Prince yan will betray chu qiao??? Is tht right??

      • Chatelaineces

Spoiler alert!”………….She wasn’t in on the details that would kill many civilians like the many fires set up all over the city including the residences. The common and hardened criminals were also released to create mayhem, rape and house-to-house stealing. Because Prince Yan had less than 1,000 men and well placed officials, he used chaos to provide a smoke screen for his escape from Chang’an. But of course, the emperor was worse because he used the wedding to assassinate the Prince on rout to the temple. He use Prince Yuwen Huai and the other Prince to do the crime in a secret decree. He never meant for his daughter and Prince Yan Xun to marry.

        • Chatelaineces

I am reminded of an old allegorical folk tale about the ogre in the mountain. It created so much mayhem, many tried to kill it. Finally, they discovered that the ogre had indeed died. Unfortunately, those who were sent to kill it took over as ogres themselves. The idealistic young man sent out to destroy a public enemy eventually sees the value of wealth, power and subjugation and in turn becomes the ogre he was sent out to kill. This is the story of Prince Yan Xun.

  • simplegal88

why did he betray those men? so unnecessary.

    • oppa lover

True. He treated them like disposables. Their lives were in his hands and he chose to discard them like they are nothing but a piece of trash.

    • Vanquisher

cuz he doesn’t know how to forgive, but he expect to be forgiven in return..from Chu; those men may be traitors before, but they have regretted it and redeemed themselves when they fought for him so he can escape and he repay them with death cuz he can’t forgive them for what they’ve done…the bastard

      • simplegal88

ohhhhhhhhh, wait after later eps, you will find he is not just “the bastard” but bastard from Hell.

  • ThenAgain…

Did Yan Xun get sexier? Or is it just me? (His makeup is kinda fierce. )

    • simplegal88

Yes, his darker ugly side is coming thru and they need an image to match.

      • oppa lover

That image there killed it. He is now a bad boy, a very bad boy and that image suits him best.
Now setting Yan xun and his image aside am I the only one worrying about that little prince locked up by the devil incarnate in that box? The poor little soul was crying and that scene is stuck in my head I just cant shake it off.

        • simplegal88

That was my first thought too, he will suffocate inside and died.

    • Moana Ashley

Yes he got sexier …now the bad boy image is coming through it goes to show how much i love the bad boys hahaha

    • oppa lover

I thought I am the only one who noticed it. You my friend has a big thing for bad boys and I love your taste.

      • ThenAgain…

Haha how can I not?! They’re so tempting 😍

        • oppa lover

          Agreed….

  • ThenAgain…

Can we never hear the words ‘Yan Xun Gege out of her mouth again? Pretty please?

It’s like nails on a chalkboard.

    • oppa lover

Lol I am glad the whining is finaly over. Now that she has reality knocked into her senses she can now call a spade a spade not a shovel. The little girl begged on all fours I somehow felt sorry for her. I cant to see the cunning ice princess.

    • Jo Tolosa

the perks of having chingus, thanks for this site..

      • ThenAgain…

Haha no problem! I got this site from Oppa lover.

  • airisu

Woo,YX got handsomer with his new makeup! 😀

    • azie abdullah

      Agreed!!!!😍

  • Zyl Nesnia De Leon

I really thougth they left behind the soldier/army..but good thing is chu qiao come back for them. .

  • Jskinz

YuanSong and his sister are annoyingly oblivious to their surroundings. They both have such wonderful memories of their childhood’s but they forget that YanXue was a prisoner. While they were freely frolicking he was carefully watching his step. The Princess ignored the horrific deaths of his family, and assumed if she’s happy then he should be happy too. The Prince still hasn’t figured out that the Duke didn’t rebel against anyone, and that he was set up by greedy courtiers. That his father knew he hadn’t been betrayed but was insecure when it came to his “friend” and allowed the fallacy to end in the deaths of so many.

I get what YuanYue was trying to say. My problem with him was that he knows very well there is no alternative where regular people don’t die. Even if YanXue killed himself, or found a way to sneak away and gave up his claim on everything living in another country nothing would change. There would still be death all across Wei and in Yanbei as the other Dukes fight to take that land. Not to mention no one being clearly in charge of Yanbei would mean aggressors from across the border. With all of his spies and connections YuanYue didn’t come up with a plan to help his friend escape during those 3 years. He knows there was no other way for YanXue to get out given his resources without creating pure chaos.

Wei is a evil. corrupt state, lead by a lying coward. It sucks for the people because they didn’t choose him or any of the nobles and they can’t them him out.

    • Mfale

Your’e right with Yuan Song and the princess to me they were both ignorant of the situation with Prince Yan however i differ with Yue not helping his friend escape, the way i see it Yue did him a favour ,by not helping him escape during those 3 yrs or else Prince Yan would have died long time ago. Yue knows Prince Yan would use his time wisely and plan his revenge and escape to Yanbei, only thing he had to do was secretly protect and keep him alive.
(episode 27 12:09) The emperor sent Yue to the boarders to fight, and Prince Yan was just released, so within the period of 3 yrs Yue was not at home but fighting rebels along the borders, and Eyes of God was taken away from him at the same time.

      • oppa lover

I agree with all you said no buts. My heart was moved by the princess’s begging on all fours. I felt pity for her although I felt she didn’t deserve my pity at all. Both brother and sister are blockheads. Did they expect Yan Xun to remain the same after what he went through in their father’s hands. The princess in oblivion on focusing on marrying Yan xun not even stopping to think about how he felt. What can I say she deserved the humiliation.
Thanks to Yuwen Yue Yan xun’s last shred of decency left in his body spared the lives of those trainees and acknowledged Yuwen Yue as a comrade for the very last time. Now let the horrors begin….the chamber of horrors has been unleashed. The stupid emperor will have sleepless nights now that the tiger is back in its den.

        • Mfale

I totally agree, lets see how the stupid, pathetic emperor gets out of this one,i feel its going to be so horribly bloody, heads will be rolling ,lot of senseless killing and the colour of red is in season.

          • oppa lover

lol chang’an will be red for sure lol

        • Vanquisher

I think it’s hard for the sibling to understand yanxue need for revenge, cuz they actually believed that his father plotted to kill their father

          • oppa lover

Yes i agree with you. I somehow think that they maybe thought that Yanxun is greatful to the emperor for being spared from the calamity that befall his family. Maybe thats why they didnt understand his agony. Or maybe they were just ignorant and naive. They were pampered all their lives after all.

      • Jskinz

Yue was not in town, but you better believe he knew everything that was going on in ChangAn. I know he was off fighting, and I know he left YanXan to fight for his own survival and plan his own escape. I brought up him not helping because he complained about the plan. Unlike the Prince and Princess he knew he King was using the wedding day to have YanXue killed, he knew the King had no intention of letting that man leave with his daughter and return home. He also figured out YanXue’s plan to create massive chaos that day. But he offered no help or alternative. He sat right at the banquet pretending to not know anything and waited to see how events played out. Then when things got hectic he jumped to action running around ChangAn, endearing himself to people by playing the hero.

I actually don’t have a problem with YuanYue’s actions. He’s a spy and manipulator. He stayed true to character. He used the situation totally to his advantage. My problem is with him was his talking ish about YanXue. The man has been through hell, and the war that is coming is not YanXue’s fault, nor is there anything he can do it stop it because it isn’t about him. It’a about all the psycho’s at court willing to do anything for more power.

        • Mfale

From the very beginning, every viewer see Yue’s character differently and it makes more interesting to see different points of view. you either hate or love the guy his personality is cold, the guy is slave abuser, murderer, backstabber and manipulator overall he’s seen the bad guy. however i see the opposite he hides his feelings well given to any situation, the decisions he makes may not look good with others, but he’s willing to take the consequences, he’s been straightforward with Prince Yan and losses his friendship if only Prince Yan he had listen to him and left Yanbei earlier then his family would not have been killed.he tried to tell Xinger Prince Yan is a different person, she will be hurt later on but has been misunderstood so he let’s her go. Yue to me is not looked upon as a hero, but a Great Strategist Person of his time.

          • Jskinz

I agree YuanYue is really great at what he does. The man doesn’t miss a clue or opportunity. I know historically Wei state will fall soon, but out of all the characters he would make the best King. I wish he would’ve joined the rebellion, got rid of all the twisted greedy psycho’s, and ruled Wei properly.

          • Mfale

I totally agree,if this did happen the Wei state would not fall, but have expanded their rule to other regions and become a powerful nation like the Romans.

        • Vanquisher

you’re wrong; yuanyue did offer to help yanxue once he learned of his bad plan; but yanxue didn’t care for it; so of course he would do nothing and let yanxue has his way….to a certain point that is

    • simplegal88

I see Yuwen in a different light, he had always value Prince Yan’s friendship and life since the beginning. Before Prince Yan’s disaster started, Yuwen had remind him many times to leave Wei knowing the danger ahead. Later again when he sits on top of the roof to knock out the assassins when Prince Yan was arrested in house. He can only extend himself in his indirect way or he wlll accused of betrayal to the Emperor. Once the Emperor realized Yuwen is assisting Prince Yan, he sent Yuwen to the borders. When Yuwen discovered Prince Yan’s evil plan, he could have exposed him and Emperor will certainly have his head, but didn’t due to their friendship. Again, Yuwen is protecting Prince Yan by givining him warning if Prince Yan gets out of line, he will be there. Yuwen had extended his help many many times in many subtle ways.

      • simplegal88

But then again, Yuwen’s more deciding factor later into the story is not protecting the Prince Yan but more about protecting Xinger. If Prince Yan is exposed then Xinger life will definitely be in danger.

      • Jskinz

YanXue couldn’t leave the city, he was a hostage. If he did it would’ve been seen as an act of rebellion and given the King the right to attack Yanbei. At the beginning of the drama YanXue’s mother found a way to get him home and the stupid Princess ruined it by whining about her birthday party and demanding that YanXue stay for it. That gave the King time to come up with another excuse to keep him in the city.

YuanYue could’ve exposed YanXue, but that would’ve been like shooting himself in the foot. He wanted all of the people YanXue killed out too. He didn’t have a problem with YanXue killing any of the corrupt officials or the soldiers. Which is the real reason why he didn’t expose him. He claims to be upset because innocents got hurt, but there is no way for YanXue to get out without innocent casualties and YuanYue knows that. It’s an enclosed city and the only way for YanXue to get out was to fight. It’s sucks for the citizens, and it’s always regular people who suffer the most when there is war. But without some brilliant plan to sneak out and get rid of as many corrupt people as possible there was no way to avoid people getting hurt.

YuanYue offered no alternative and benefitted politically from YanXue’s rebellion. That’s why I am annoyed with his criticism.

        • simplegal88

Agreed in many of your points. In one of the eps, Yuwen did mentioned to Xinger the reason he did not expose Prince Yan is to protect her. No way
Xinger can survive if Prince Yan is criminally charged.

        • Vanquisher

I disagree; yanxun intent was to kill civilians also, not only that they were ‘collateral damage’; didn’t you hear him say he wanted to pay back WEI twice the death what WEI (emperor) did to Yan state? He was heading to kill more innocents (recall when he said he wanted to rid all future generals of WEI state), but YWH cut in. why would YWH wanted to do the dirty work, saving the lives of civilians, when he could’ve exposed yanxun to the emperor and let him send out an army to bring him down. Also, he cared so much for Chu and many times tried to dissuade her but to no avail; why not just have the emperor’s army handle it and save Chu from getting a death sentence

      • Vanquisher

also, when YHY told yanxun that he knew of his plan, he not only tried to discourage yanxun from carrying it out, but offered to help him escape if he want it; too bad yanxun didn’t care for it

  • kalindu karunarathna

Its annoying me, I want soon to see Chu Qiao break up with Yan Xun and reunite with Yuwen Yue to fight against Yan Xun and for the greater good

  • Mfale

Chu is not listening, properly to Yue due her prejudices against him. He tells her I am not loyal to Yuewen Household, instead I am loyal to Wei state , my point of view not to the emperor but to the innocent people who live in Wei state. When there is outbreak of war or rebellion at this period of time, the ones who suffer the most are the innocent. How could she bet on peoples life?,she will regret it later on….

    • oppa lover

Damn right she will regret it later on.

  • Moana Ashley

Chuner is so annoying…fancy thinking Yan Xus troubles will be all over because he was marrying her…she and her brother were living in a rose coloured world wow…and still begging at his feet thinking that his family were rightly executed so he should not rebel but go ask for forgiveness wow. I think Yan Xun is barely holding on to Chu Qiao anyway …she just manages to actually fit into his thoughts. I still think Yuwen Yue is idiotic to blame Xinger for raising a Wolf (Yan Xun) . His emotionless and cold state is really where he should think about why his communication to Xinger and Yan Xun before Yan Xuns family were slaughtered and Xinger felt she was his scapegoat is where it all went wrong. Sorry of yall cant understand me I do realise I am rambling. In my heart i want Yan Xun and A Chu together but i do know Yan Xun is going to start pissing me off soon altho i dont want him too. Aaah the life of drama lol

    • oppa lover

Yan xun from the very beginning wanted Chang’an to be drenched in blood. Not the blood of the emperor and his rotten officials but with the blood of the innocent civilians. He carefully planned everything that is why he left Chu out. To him revenge is destroying Wei state and destroying Wei does not start and end with killing the emperor and his cronies. It includes shedding the blood of the innocent. That there will be the reason for the fallout with Chu. He is holding the lives of the whole state at ransom. Never in my wildest imagination did I think he would sacrifice the entire Xiulu army.
Now choosing the lesser evil I would ship Chu to Yuwen yue. He is a lesser devil, infact he was never a devil from the very beginning until now. I will not waste my time trying to defend Yuwen yue. If he was so loyal to the emperor then he would have exposed yan xun’s scheming. He would have killed Yan xun himself because he had every reason to. He would have rushed to the emperor’s side when mayhem broke out in the city. Instead he rushed to aide the citizens. I missed the part he made Xinger his scapegoat. Would you be kind enough to elaborate.

      • jude

Well said! Nice to see you here Chingu 🙂 are you going to watch Lost Love in Times its airs today. I’m exited on Yang Mi upcoming historical drama
The Legend of Fu Yao https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/4513925de6c6a26ab621360aaa6399b3dee47d28bb7aef677e1ecf61535435af.jpg

      • Ms. Kimchi

The sacrifice of Xiuli army is unforgivable. I understand Yan Xun’s thirst for blood. But to let loose convicts and letting them kill innocents. And leaving those loyal to him behind, scheming behind Chu Qiao. I think a fallout is well deserved.

        • oppa lover

Yeah it is. This drama left so speechless. I was so thrilled over his escape. So thrilled he finally has his freedom. That was an early celebration i didn’t know his plan. I thought the plan to flood the city was muddled by Yue so there wont be any casulties. I didnt know they will do a prison break. I overlooked them setting fires. I just didnt think they would set homes on fire. Never in my wildest imagination did i think he would ultimately lock the xiulu army in the capital.
Even with me a fallout is in order. He has totally disappointed me.

          • Ms. Kimchi

I just watched ep45 raw. And Yan Xun treated Chun’er and Song’er so horribly. I want to kill YX right now. I shed tears in raw for Chun’er. Poor siblings! 😭😭

          • oppa lover

After watching it with subs I would say yes Chun’er did not deserve it but hell she is so dense and so naïve. After all that talk and crying saying she will let yan xun go why the hell did she follow him heaven knows where?
As for Song he went a bit ahead of himself and shot himself in the foot. Did he really think yan xun would kidnap his sister…I mean seriously. Its a pity he got maimed but he is also dense just like his stupid sister. For what he did Yan xun could have ordered his troops to chop his head off as one was itching to. Instead he commanded them to be escorted back to Chang’an after stabbing him with a poisonous knife. Too bad but they brought it on themselves.

      • Moana Ashley

Yes as i sd i was rambling on and pulling things out of my head from different episodes and how i interpreted it at the time. As of yesterday I started also reading the book so it is now i see from the book that Yan Xun really has no loyalty to Chang’an or Wei state it is only to Yan Bei. He has been held as a captive Crown Prince ( treated as royalty but constantly reminded he is in captivity) so i can see why he naturally already has no loyalty to the whole state. On top of that he has seen the heads of his family seperated from their bodies ( these are his own words ) so therefore he has no loyalty to the state in the first place and now added to that revenge written in his heart. This does not make a good combo. However my original comment was made of the cuff midway between the actual episode 41 and i had stopped and written the comment in emotional stress and I had not started reading the book yet …The part where I say Xinger felt she was his scapegoat refers back to the episode where she finds out that the old grandfather is still alive and she overhears the grandfathers conversation saying she will be the spy who they are prepared to sacrifice that is why Yuwen Yue recruited her. Yuwen Yue fully realises this is what his grandfather expects but we all know that he will always think of another way to save her because as i guessed then he does love her. I did not say Yuwen Yue made Xinger his scapegoat i said she felt she was his scapegoat according to what she overheard.

        • oppa lover

Okay I now get your point. I had misinterpreted it. Yes Yan xun was never loyal to wei state or the emperor. I am not reading the book and I don’t plan to. Do give me feedback when you finish reading it I might change my mind and read it too.

          • Moana Ashley

These Chinese drama are so excellent that I don’t usually read the books. It was by accident that I found a site that translates Wuxia into english. I think however that some of the profoundness of the chinese language would be lost in translation. At the moment though my judgement is being reserved between the book and how it is depicted in the series.

          • oppa lover

Share that site with me pretty please. I love wuxia books and yes more of the stuff is lost through translations but its worth it. I watched general and i reading the novel at the same time. I was so disappointed and i kept on comparing the drama to the book and wishing they stuck a bit more to the book. From then on i promised myself never to repeat that mistake again but i found myself doing it again when i watched ten miles of peach blossoms. Only this time around it was totally worth it. I loved the book and i loved the drama. It was so nice to read the book with visuals from the drama. One of the best books and drama i have watched in 2017 if not the best.

          • Moana Ashley

Also thank you Oppa Lover I do love reading your comments

          • oppa lover

Lets enjoy the drama. Too bad we are going towards the end. Funny thing is i dont see them wrapping up the story. Rather they keep on introducing new characters which somehow gives me a false impression that we still have a lot more episodes to go and have not yet reached the climax of the story. I hope the ending will not be rushed but perfectly executed like the rest of the drama.
A little birdie told me we will be in for some yue-chu scenes in the next coming episodes. The little birdie said we will be left drooling asking for more. Too bad for those who dont ship , they are in for disappointment.
Its gonna be a long wait till monday.

          • Moana Ashley

Yes on that point i agree with you I also feel that false impression yet realise we are nearing the end of the drama.
This is one drama i am enjoying after Peach Blossoms. The roller coaster ride i get from shipping from one to the other i always enjoy , If the drama can get an emotional reaction out of me yet leave me satisfied with the ending then it gets a big thumbs up

        • simplegal88

are you reading in Chinese or English? If English, can you share the link?

      • Vanquisher

did he say he was loyal to the emperor….or just WEI state? so he’s a devil cuz he didn’t expose yan xun’s scheme or kill him? I’d say he was right for NOT doing all of that; He knows the emperor has wronged yan xun’s family and understand the need for yan xun to take revenge..he just doesn’t agree that yan would kill indiscriminately to accomplish his goal; and I’m sure he would want to replace the emperor with a good ruler…like his son, so why would he stop anyone from getting rid of the bad emperor

        • oppa lover

Yes he is one of the few who understand Yanxun. They disagree on his way of doing things esp. killing the innocent. He didnt expose him because nor kill him because i believe Yue can tell right from wrong. He knew that The duke never plotted treason and so their deaths was unjust so how can he sellout Yanxun to the devil. Yue tried his best to soil his plans. Xun was planning to flood changa’n on his way out and Yue spoiled it. However he failed to predict his next move thats why lives were lost but he saved as much as he could.
Yue is misunderstood by Xun and Chu who think that he is loyal to the emperor because he didnt help them when they tried to escape or when they faced death on that platform. They actually believed that it is Yue who shot that ice needle arrow that stopped them. So it is them who thot Yue is loyal to the emperor.

  • Moana Ashley

There it is Yanxues first piss me off by betraying the Xiuliu soldiers…..lucky Chu Qiao is on to it

Often in this kind of drama, no happily ever after, but I’m still rooting on Yuwen Yue and Xing’er to be together,
Million thanks for the subtitle 4udrama,,,

  • Moana Ashley

A big thank you to those that sub these wonderful dramas for us to watch. Because of you i get to enjoy top notch veiwing

  • Moana Ashley

Omg the princess knew her father used the marriage as an excuse to kill Yanxun yet she is still following him…omg she is one silly woman

  • Tenshi Miyuri

After promising the Xiuli army to bring them back in Yanbei but YX abandoned them even if they have still enough time to give a signal to escape, seal the door and destroy the bridge…before, I pity YX but now I really hate him

  • Mfale

Finally Yuewen Huai is dead, from the very beginning he was pure evil, his scheming in trying to kill Yue and then Chu and then killed Prince Yan Father and Sister actually the whole clan and lastly the innocent baby he really deserve to die, although Chu got her revenge i feel he should died a more painful death,Anyway’s that’s how the writers wanted the story too be.

    • Vanquisher

the initiator is the Liang state princess; she caused the death of yanxue’s family; I want to see when yanxue will know who his greatest enemy is and the end of her

      • Mfale

I agree initiator is the Liang state princess but we must not forget Dong Fangji the trusted friend of Prince Yan’s Father he is also other initiator and he is the worst kind of enemy he betrayed the king and Yanbei and yet he’s from Yanbei.

  • MidnightShadow

Yuwen huai’s death was weak; he should’ve died a long and painful death more than his grandfather did. Oh wells, he is dead. I am disappointed that Yan Xun abandoned the xiuli army. Now, it’s just about his revenge and nothing else: everyone is his scapegoat because he’s just looking out for himself. And I know I’m going to be more disappointed in The future episodes as well. The princess and Prince are so stupid, especially the princess. They did not get married yet she is delusional and thinks that they’re married. I don’t pity her at all. She’s naive and that’s her downfall. And in ancient china: isn’t red the usual wedding color as I have seen in Chinese dramas? Why was princess and Yan Xun wearing blue?
